Junior MasterChef

Last week the school held its Junior MasterChef Competition, which showcased some of the incredible culinary talent that our students have.  One of the judges, Miss Godsall, said, ‘We were blown away by the creativity, talent and attention to detail.’ Mrs McKiddie added, ‘A fantastic time was had by all. It was great to see the youngsters pushing themselves with the skills they’ve learnt. The dishes were imaginative, colourful and very tasty.’

The winners were:

1st Place: Aaron Hunter, Year 8, Lennon House. Aaron made a very tasty Chicken and Butternut Squash Curry with rice and a creamy Eton Mess for dessert.

2nd Place: Ryan Gates, Year 8, Hepburn House. Ryan made very meaty, slightly spicy Peri Peri burgers with potato wedges and coleslaw, followed by a Cheesecake.

3rd Place: William Penney, Year 7, Lennon House. William made delicious ribs in a barbecue sauce with potato wedges and a Lemon Cheesecake.

Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to all the competitors.
