School Age Immunisation Programme
A team of 40 staff comprising of fully qualified nurses with immunisation experience and knowledge, Health Care support workers, and administrators provide childhood vaccines to children and young people across Hampshire.
The service, which was previously part of the school nursing role, is now a dedicated, stand-alone service offering the increased provision of immunisations to children (aged 4-16) across all Hampshire schools, including those who are home-educated. The team will also continue to provide a service to all students in special schools, and we are now extending this to provide certain immunisations to individuals up to 25 years old.
