Brune Park – Update for Parents/Carers
Dear Parents/Carers
This morning we completed a dynamic risk assessment to assess the impact of the strike action on our capacity to open the school.
Due to the volume of staff who have withdrawn their labour today, we need to close the school to all pupils in Years 7-11.
We recognise the potential disruption to you and your child’s education this may cause.
Brune Park Lower Sixth and Upper Sixth Form students may choose to either work independently at home or come into school from 10.00 am where supervised independent study provision will be available in the library at Brune Park.
Sixth Form students should be revising for their upcoming mock examinations and can access revision materials through their usual Google Classroom resources.
Pupils in Years 7-11 are encouraged to use their existing Google Classroom resources for revision, as well as online learning sites such as Bedrock, CareerPilot, Oak National Academy, GCSE Bitesize and GCSEPod.
For those learners in receipt of Free School Meals, a voucher will be emailed to the relevant families.
We thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Kind regards
The GFM Secondary Executive Team
