Dear Parents and Carers,
We are really looking forward to welcoming your son/daughter back to physical education
lessons next week. We have been busy preparing the facilities and our lessons to ensure we
can continue to deliver high-quality physical education. As communicated before the summer
holidays we will need to ask students to follow new routines and procedures.
In line with government guidance, we will be delivering our physical education lessons outside
as much as possible so students should be suitably prepared for PE lessons. We will be unable
to lend any PE uniform to students so please can you support your son/daughter to be
prepared and organised for their lesson.
We will be minimising the use of the changing rooms as much as possible, but we recognise
that in order to keep good hygiene there will be times when students will need to change into
their uniform after PE lessons. On days that students have physical education can we please
ask students to arrive at school in their PE kit and bring their school uniform with them to
change into after their lesson. When required, the use of the changing rooms will be carefully
controlled to ensure social distancing and good hygiene practice.
If you have any questions regarding your son or daughter returning to physical education
lessons, please do not hesitate to contact us at the school.
Yours sincerely
The GFM Physical Education team.
