Year 9 students have been creating resources to share with new Year 7 students ahead of transition this September.
The Learning Leaders have created powerpoints, maps, leaflets and videos to support their new peers in making the change from primary to secondary school.
Student, Grace, said: “Today has been eventful and it is nice for everyone to come together to help the new Year 7s. I helped to create interview videos to help make the new students settle in easier and have a perspective view on what the school is like.”
Student, Charlie, said: “I found it hard as a Year 7 so I want to help people feel safe and welcome when they join.”
English Teacher, Ms Astley, said: “I am incredibly proud of the creativity, resilience and enthusiasm our Year 9 Learning LEarners have shown. We are excited for the resources to go live and hope they are very useful.”
