Today marked the third cross-MAT Professional Learning day for all teaching staff and classroom based support staff colleagues across the GFM. INSET days are a really important opportunity for all educational professionals to take time to pause, reflect and learn new approaches to learning and teaching. Today, colleagues across the GFM joined together for training, which was organised by the GFM Institute of Education and the GFM Digital Learning Team to develop our approaches to digitalising Teaching and Learning. We are delighted to have been able to make our ‘Digitalising Teaching & Learning’ sessions available to colleagues from other local primary schools. Primary and secondary colleagues learning together is really useful for sharing and learning from one another. The whole day was facilitated online due to the GFM appreciating the benefits of a blended learning approach for staff and pupils. Colleagues have enjoyed a day of professional learning around the following:
- Inclusion: Pupil Premium across the Phases
- Digitalising Teaching & Learning: Assessment for Learning online using the Google Apps, Organising pupil work online and improving pupil collaboration during online lessons, creative and inclusive ways to encourage engagement online, enhancing our pupil’s Google Classroom experience, mass personalising and electronic marking
