We’re looking for Exam Invigilators to join our supportive and professional team during the busy exam seasons.

As an invigilator, you’ll play a vital role in creating a calm, fair, and supportive environment for students sitting their exams. It’s a great opportunity if you’re looking for rewarding part-time work that fits around your schedule. Exam invigilators are engaged on a casual basis and paid on a claim form for the hours worked on a monthly basis. The current hourly rate of pay inclusive of holiday pay is £13.68.

Invigilation is on an ad-hoc basis. Hours of employment will vary greatly throughout the examination periods which are currently January to June and November and December, with mandatory annual training in September. Exact dates and times would be agreed prior to each examination season dependent on the work available and the availability of the invigilator. This role would therefore suit those looking for flexible working hours during the busy examination season as well as several other times throughout the academic year.

Profile – Clerk to Local Governing Board

Hours: Approximately 42 hours per year, spread across 39 weeks. This includes preparation, attendance, and post-meeting documentation for six Governor Meetings (around 7 hours per meeting).

Salary: KGA Band 6, Point 12 FTE £30,552 (will be prorated)

The Clerk may also be called on to cover school meetings and payment for overtime if more than the total number of contracted hours worked will be paid at the contractual hourly rate.

At King’s Academy Brune Park we believe that every member of our staff – from the classroom to the playing field – plays a vital role in helping our students thrive. As our new Grounds Assistant, you’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps our school grounds looking their best: safe, tidy, and ready for learning, play, and everything in between.

You will be a good communicator with a friendly and patient approach. We welcome individuals with a strong work ethic, organised and who have the ability to take the initiative to deal with problems as they arise. We are looking for individuals who have a positive, pro-active attitude and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A driving license would be advantageous.

This is a physical role and will, for example, require preparation and maintenance of playing surfaces, carrying  out line marking, conducting general maintenance of posts, nets, PE equipment, paths, grass and hard areas. Tasks will include mowing grass, use of seed, turf and fertilizers and waste products and the general maintenance/repair of fencing.

Some Saturday working may be necessary and applicants must be flexible and prepared to work some of their contracted hours at other schools within the Trust, as required.
