King’s Academy Brune Park is a King’s Group Academies. The Governors of the school, are delegated powers, by the Trust Board to oversee governance at a local level, on behalf of the main Trust Board.
The Chair of Governors is Mr Michael Robinson (mrobinson@governor.kgahampshire.uk).
Our Governors aim to work in conjunction with parents/carers, staff and other stakeholders of both schools to exercise a local form of governance that is responsive and reflects the voice of the community we serve. The Local Governing Body is a team of people who work closely with the Executive Headteacher to make key decisions to enable the successful running of the school and ensure that it delivers high-quality education.
All boards, no matter what type of school or how many schools they govern, have three core functions:
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
- Holding senior school leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff;
- Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent.
