Work Experience Spotlight- Max
During Work Experience Week (Monday 30th June – Friday 4th July), 230 of our incredible Year 10 students ventured into workplaces across the community to gain their first taste of working life. We have received incredible feedback from local and national employers about our Year 10 work experience students.
Max completed his placement at Pebbles Pre-School — and we received some truly heart-warming feedback from the staff there!
Jenny, the manager, reached out to our Careers Adviser to say that in over 10 years of hosting WEX students, Max has been the best student they’ve ever had. She described him as amazing, polite, proactive, patient, and compassionate — someone who truly went above and beyond in everything he did.
Max even brought in his ukulele and sang for the children, something they absolutely loved! The staff said they’ve never had a student connect so naturally and warmly with the children. The little ones are still asking for him this week and miss his singing dearly.
Jenny added that Max is a credit to himself, his family, and our school, and he would be welcomed back with open arms any time he wants to gain more experience.

Well done, you’ve made us all proud. What a fantastic achievement!
